Homemade Muesli (Granola)


3 cups oats

1.5 cups chopped nuts of choice

1 cup shredded coconut

4 tbs oil such as coconut oil orsunflower oil

4 tbs maple syrup or honey

1.5 tsp ground cinnamon

Optional - sultanas, chia seeds


Heat oven to 140C, fan-forced.

In a bowl, combine your oats, nuts (I used almond flakes),shredded coconut and cinnamon.

In a small saucepan, heat your coconut oil (or sunflower oil) and maple syrup (or honey) until melted.

Pour this mixture over your dry muesli and combine until fully incorporated.

Place muesli on a large, lined baking tray. Place in the oven.

Bake for 40 minutes, mixing halfway through.

When done, remove from oven, add sultanas and seeds if preferred and allow to cool before transferring to a container.
